Timer settings
Start your first session
- Add a task with a clear stopping point, such as “Answer five questions and note why I missed any.” This makes it easier to decide what is finished than a broad task like “Study.”
- Start with 25 minutes. If getting started feels difficult, change the focus duration to 10 minutes in Settings before you begin.
- When the session ends, check off finished tasks. If work remains, add your next step, such as “Read the explanation for question four,” before taking a break.
Today’s session count records focus timers that reach the end. It does not measure completed tasks or automatically determine how long you were actually concentrating.

Why timeboxing works
Working in fixed blocks with deliberate breaks keeps attention fresh and makes starting easier. The timer above follows the classic 25/5 Pomodoro rhythm by default, but every length is adjustable.
