Privacy Policy

This page explains what Focus Timer collects, why, and what you can do about it. The short version: the timer runs entirely in your browser, there are no user accounts, and the site shows ads from Google, which uses cookies as described below.

What is stored in your browser

Your timer settings, task list, today’s completed session count, theme preference and whether you dismissed the language banner are saved in your browser’s localStorage, under keys beginning with ft:. They never leave your device and are never sent to our servers. Clearing your browser data removes them.

There are no accounts, no logins and no copy of anything you create on our side.

Advertising

Focus Timer displays ads served by Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website and other websites. Google uses advertising cookies, such as the DoubleClick cookie, to show you ads that may be relevant to your interests.

You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info/choices. Hosting

Like any website, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) records standard request metadata when you load a page: your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. We use these only to keep the site running and to detect abuse. We do not run our own analytics, and we do not set analytics cookies. Cloudflare and Google operate globally, so this data may be processed in countries other than the one you are in.

Children

Focus Timer is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of Focus Timer after a change means you accept the updated policy.
